Automation System of Direct Oil Heaters (ISA-PPN)

Automation system ISA-PPN-DSKM is a unified system designed for control of direct oil heaters PTB-10E, PTB-10AE, PTB-5-40, PTB-5-40E, PPN-3, PT-4-64ZH(G), etc. The system can be used in the process of modification of operating oil heaters of PTB-10, PTB-5, Magdeburg and other types.

ISA-PPN-DSKM performs the following functions:
  • Check of readiness for operation, ignition and activation of basic mode, operation in basic mode, emergency and planned shutdown according to regulations
  • Automatic management of heaters process mode
  • Remote control of heaters and valves from operator workstation and local operator panels, which form a part of heaters control station
  • Automatic keeping of preset product temperature at heaters output, when fuel-air relationship are optimal
  • Diagnostics of heaters coil pipes to prevent their burnout in case of carburizing
  • Accumulation and backup of data about heaters and equipment operation and operating staff activities in the database and generation of reports
  • Alarm, protection and interlock of heaters and release of information with deciphering of shutdown cause
  • Energy saving, environmental improvement at the facility
ISA-PPN-DSKM helps to achieve the following effect:
  • Improve quality of process mode and ensure its safety according to regulatory documentation
  • Extend process equipment operating life
  • Provide with opportunity to include heater in process control system of the facility
  • Increase performance of operating staff and improve its working conditions
  • Reduce power consumption
  • Reduce polluting emissions in the atmosphere

ISA-PPN-DSKM is developed by Insist Avtomatika LLC according to current requirements for safety and based on long-term experience in heaters operation. ISA-PPN is successfully introduced in more than 200 heaters of oil companies Rosneft, LUKOIL, Gazprom Neft and others.

The system hardware complex has multi-layered and distributed structure. Communication within the system and with higher-level process control system is provided via standard interfaces RS-232 (485) (Modbus RTU) and/or Ethernet (Modbus TCP/IP).
